Agile Objects Course

The Agile Objects course is an exciting and rigorous way to introduce faculty members and graduate students to the principles and practice of teaching with objects.

Developed by Senta and Jim at Oxford, the course covers questions of safe handling and conservation across media, the practicalities of working with a museum, the thematic potential of objects and the challenges posed by the various possible contexts for collections-based teaching.  It can be tailored to the needs of any collection or institution.

Functioning either as a short, intensive introduction or a longer, bespoke training spread over several days, Agile Objects is flexible, able to be adapted for any museum or collection and to the particular requirements of teachers, researchers, curators or museum educators.
